Why do some insects dazzle with bright colours while others vanish into the background? How do they thrive in fragmented habitats, or shift reproduction strategies when isolated?

We investigate the behavioural, ecological, and evolutionary adaptations that shape arthropod survival in a changing world. Our research combines field ecology, genetics, and comparative analyses to understand how behaviour, colour patterns, morphology, and life histories interact with environmental pressures such as urbanisation, habitat loss, and climate change. By revealing these dynamics, we aim to inform biodiversity conservation and highlight the critical roles insects play in ecosystems and human well-being.
